The course will be held in Milan (for students coming from North-Italy and North-Europe) and Palermo for students coming from South-Italy) by Prof. ENNIO NICOTRA and it is aimed to all those young orchestra conductors and musicians who wish to develop and improve their technique. The course teaches practical and theoretical competencies that are not given by the traditional courses.
The study program is in fact based on the “Musin system”: Maestro Nicotra was student and assistant of Ilya Musin – legendary Russian teacher (1904-1999) in whose school Yuri Temirkanov, Valery Gergiev, Semyon Bychkov, Rudolf Barshai and many others learned theri craft – who developed a unique didactical method, that many consider the equivalent of the Stanislavskij method for acting technique studies.
Classes focus on the analysis and the improvement of the conducting techniques, through an exercise with a piano duo; the semantics of the gesture, the communicational aspects and the interaction with the ensemble will be analyzed. The course is carried out in 8 meetings: the first 7 are organized in 21 individual lessons, each one lasting 35/40 minutes (2 days a month), 12 students admitted.

The artistic direction will invite the student/s who will have distinguished themselves during the final concert to participate in a production in the next symphonic season 2020/2021 Auditors are admitted.
